Stink Bugs and Tomatoes

I have had a good crop of tomatoes so far this year. Pictures will be coming soon. However, what I saw today was a first for me. Stink bugs seem to have landed on my tomatoes. I was able to knock them down and smash them. But I have never had to deal with them before in the garden. Makes me wonder if we will have them in the house this winter. I hope not.

  1. Stink bugs are not a good thing around tomatoes. They pierce a tomato and suck juice rather than biting the tomato. You will see little yellow or black spots on the fruit where they stuck it. The flesh may be hard or black around those spots, and with bad sections inside the tomato. Go to war.
